MOUNT VERNON—Brewton-Parker College’s Division of Math and Natural Sciences donated eleven unused microscopes to Vidalia Heritage Academy on Friday, May 20. Vidalia Heritage Headmaster Jeff McCormick and Science Teacher Tabitha Horton accepted the donation from Dr. Helene Peters, Brewton-Parker Associate Professor of Biology. “I hope that the donation will enable students at VHA to have more hands on experience in their biology classroom when they study biology,” stated Peters. “Learning to use a microscope correctly is a very important scientific skill. I hope to continue to build a relationship with Mrs. Horton so that the students at VHA can receive an excellent science education.”
